Neil Sink, MD

Dr. Neil Sink is an Obstetric and Gynecological physician with Saint Joseph Ob/Gyn Specialists. He came to this area after growing up in Grand Rapids, MI. Dr. Sink discovered in high school that he wanted to be a doctor. He attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine followed by a residency at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis and a fellowship at Saint Paul VI Institute.

During residency, Dr. Sink recounts his graceful sitting techniques. “During rounds on L&D as a chief resident, the anesthesiologist unknowingly (I think) slipped away the chair I was gently falling into. Of course, I crashed ever so gracefully to the floor. There was a gasp and a pregnant pause. I think I muttered, "That’s what I get for sitting down as a resident". The team had a good laugh and I was able to brush myself off with minimal bruising to my pride.”

Dr. Sink enjoys being an Ob/Gyn. The job has many positives such as holding a newborn baby and placing that baby into a joyful mother’s arms. Dr. Sink enjoys the healing aspect of medicine and being able to change someone’s life through healing. He also likes helping couples with infertility and endometriosis care. His staff often describe him as calm, thoughtful and friendly.

Dr. Sink and his wife decided on the Michiana area because of the proximity to home, being near Lake Michigan and the many attractions the area has to offer. They have been in the area for 2 and a half years. Dr. Sink and his wife have 3 children. He likes to play tennis and jogging. The family went to “A Year with Frog and Toad” at Norte Dame recently. Even his 10-month-old enjoyed it! Thank you, Dr. Sink.
